SOURCES & FACT-CHECKING POLICY

Sources & Fact-Checking Policy

Reliable sourcing is a core part of RupeeBoom’s financial news workflow.

Source Priority

Where available, RupeeBoom prioritises primary sources over commentary or social media discussion.

Primary sources may include:

  • NSE and other recognised stock exchange filings
  • Official company announcements
  • Financial statements and results documents
  • Annual and quarterly reports
  • Investor presentations
  • Regulatory disclosures
  • Official press releases
  • Corporate action notices
  • Credit rating announcements
  • Government and regulatory publications

PDF and Filing Review

Where an exchange announcement contains an attached PDF or other document, RupeeBoom may extract and review the document text before producing an article.

Relevant portions of the source material may be selected for further processing while the underlying filing remains the authoritative source.

Financial Results

For financial-result articles, we aim to report figures in the context provided by the company’s disclosure.

Where possible, we distinguish reporting periods and standalone versus consolidated financial information.

Numbers and Percentages

Our automated publishing systems may apply validation checks to reduce the risk of unsupported numbers being introduced into an article.

Where a comparison or calculation has not been reliably established from the underlying source, we prefer to omit it rather than present an unsupported figure.

Market-Move Catalyst Verification

For articles discussing significant share-price movements, RupeeBoom may review recent company filings and other credible information for a possible catalyst.

The existence of a news event does not prove that it was the sole cause of a market move.

If no sufficiently reliable catalyst is identified, we aim to describe the reason as unconfirmed rather than speculate.

Secondary Sources

Secondary sources may be used for context where primary information is unavailable or where additional reporting is useful.

We aim to favour established and credible sources over anonymous claims, rumours, or unverified social media posts.

Artificial Intelligence

RupeeBoom may use artificial intelligence to assist with document analysis, summarisation, drafting, classification, and search-query generation.

AI-generated output is not treated as an independent factual source. The underlying filing, official disclosure, or other reliable evidence remains the basis for factual claims.

Images

Featured images may be sourced from licensed or permitted third-party image providers and may be selected automatically based on the subject or industry of an article.

Such images are generally illustrative and should not be interpreted as evidence of a specific event unless explicitly stated.

Corrections

If a source is later corrected, withdrawn, amended, or superseded, RupeeBoom may update the corresponding article where appropriate.
